Weapons Import & Caliber
Prescribed caliber selection:

Small game, e.g., ibex - 1350J projectile energy (.243 or similar in mm)

Medium-sized game, e.g., Oryx - 2700J projectile energy (.30-06 or similar in mm)

Large game, e.g., buffalo - 5400J projectile energy (.375 or similar in mm)
Arms import:
-
Importing weapons into Namibia is possible and costs approximately € 500.
-
You will need a firearms ownership card, an European/international firearms pass, a hunting invitation from the farm owner, and you must fill out an entry form.

Ammunition in a lockable box which must be transported separately from the weapon (max. 60 rounds per caliber)
-
Transport your hunting weapon in a lockable and sturdy gun case.

Label all pieces of luggage

Visa:

A tourist visa costs around € 85 for German citizens and is valid for 90 calendar days within the specific calendar year

Your passport must have min. 2 free pages and must be valid for at least 6 months prior your entry
